The latest release in the Prince of Persia series is an adventure through a mystical world of magic daggers and sand demons. An intuitive control system, a tremendous amount of special moves, and the ability to rewind time are the most enjoyable features of this refreshing adventure.
The demo features a healthy introduction to the game, with the prince capturing the Dagger of Time, battling sand demons, and navigating dangerous passages. Moving the prince uses the four directional keys and a jump button, while right-clicking unleashes the ability to run along walls, climb barricades, and swing from poles. Though the death-defying acrobatics needed to complete each level are remarkably cool, the tricky moves are usually simple to perform.
Three camera possibilities--third-person, first-person, and extended overhead--offer comprehensive views of the environments. Positioning the camera is easy enough, though close-ups of corners happen every so often. Fighting mostly consists of hacking and slashing, but creatures can only be killed with a finishing dagger move. Each kill gives the prince another tank of sand, which he can use in combination with the dagger to rewind time. Once the prince has killed enough creatures, the magic dagger can control time in other ways, such as freezing, fast-forwarding, or peering into the future. The demo might be a bit easy for overachievers, but we highly recommend it for any fans of 3D adventures.Download Link
