Black Mirror II takes place in the 1990’s, twelve years after the original game. Solitary Darren meets the cute Angelina while he is working at the local photo shop of Biddeford, a small town in New England. Angelina also catches the eye of Darren’s despotic, unpopular boss. To add to the mystery, there seems to be a third person interested in Angelina — Darren sees someone chasing her. He decides to investigate these incidents, and his research soon lead him to several locations, such as the small English village of Willow Creek that players will know from the first game.

In 2003, The Adventure Company and Future Games released The Black Mirror, a third person adventure game that featured a mystery surrounding a number of strange deaths in the town of Willow Creek. Future Games has been hard at work on the sequel, The Black Mirror 2, which will bring players back into a new mystery with new characters and intrigue and some familiar situations. At E3 2009, I got a quick glimpse at the game, which will be published by DTP later this year.

Set twelve years after the first game, The Black Mirror takes place in Maine and introduces you to a student whose life is stuck in a rut. He works in a photo shop in his small hometown and only experiences some excitement when a mysterious girl named Angelina meets him in the store. Events quickly take a turn for the worse when the character's boss is murdered, leaving both he and Angelina as suspects. As she quickly disappears and heads for England, the main character follows (partially out of love and partially out of a need to prove their innocence). In the process, he comes across the castle from the first Black Mirror game, as well as Willow Creek.

Willow Creek has gone through a number of changes in the past twelve years. Since the events of the first game, the townsfolk attempted to capitalize on the sensational murders by selling tickets to murder scenes and converting locations into businesses. The sanitarium, for example, has been turned into a hotel. We weren't able to check out much more(it was a very quick demo), but we should be able to get more details on the adventure title shortly.
