New Gearbox Game Primed for PAX

Gearbox Software's next project is looking ever more likely for a reveal at next month's PAX, as the event's official site is promising 'juicy exclusives, surprising disclosures and unbelievable scoops' from the Borderlands developer.

Since the release of Borderlands (and not forgetting its subsequent DLC supplements) speculation has mounted as to what the Texas-based team are at work on. Work on Aliens: Colonial Marines, a game that's been developed for SEGA since 2006, seems to have stalled indefinitely, meaning that the most likely candidate is Duke Nukem Forever.

Gearbox Software is believed to have taken up the mantle on the comically delayed shooter from 3D Realms, and there have even been reports that a demo for the game could land as early as this year.

We'll be on the floor at PAX – which takes place between September 3rd and 5th – and will be bringing you all the news as it happens.
