X-Men Destiny is the latest hype in the gaming industry. It is an RPG video game based on the hit X-men Comic series. The game is currently under development and is handled by the talented people of Silicon Knights and will be published by Activision. The game is planned to be released in the final quarter of this year 2011. It was announced last year and said to be available for PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. No Windows version of the game is yet to be announced but many are hopeful for that version.
“Choice” will be the main theme of X-Men Destiny. The developers said that the players will enjoy the variety of choices and vast decision making in the game ultimately letting players choose their own destiny in the game. The player will be controlling a character of their choice and join the original X-men crew. The players will enjoy a wide branching story line which relies on the decision that they will be making.
The plot of the game is in San Francisco where the community is divided into humans and mutants after a huge conflict that came during the peace rally held in memory of the deceased Professor X.
The trailer released for the game is quite tempting and it created a big hype but it did not really tell a lot about the game. Not a bit even in the graphics of the game. But one thing is for sure, if it is X-men, it is filled with action and excitement. Her story is that she was smuggled to San Francisco from Japan by her parents to avoid incarceration in a mutant camp that punishes them. She is said to be too young to understand the reasons why she had to leave, and is alone and sad about being abandoned. A second original character, Grant Alexander, an all-American student from Georgia with dreams of becoming a professional football player, was revealed on the site SuperHeroHype.com. It was also revealed that the new characters would have different relationships with established X-Men original heroes.
