Nokia's 5 latest phones

Nokia Oyj, the world's largest mobile handset company has launched a slew of smartphones. The company struggling to maintain its lead in the mobile market has launched mobile phones across all three segments, high, mid and low.The Finland-based company is still the market leader in the smartphones segment with a 41 per cent share, but it faces stiff competition from Apple's iPhone and Google's Android-based devices.
Following are 5 new mobile phone models launched by nokia:


Nokia N8

Nokia has launched its N8 model in the Asia-Pacific region. N8 is the first phone to be launched with Nokia's improved Symbian 3 operating system.

The phone will be available globally, including India, from September onward and is priced at Rs 21,019.

Nokia N8 offers 8 of GB memory, faster access to social networking sites like FaceBook and Twitter and high quality video recording. 

Nokia X6
Nokia also launched X6. Nokia X6 has a 8 GB of memory and is targeted at entertainment seekers with services like unlimited music downloads, social networking, chat and games.
Nokia X6 sports 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen displaying 16M colors. The screen is scratch reistant with features like Proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor.

Nokia X6 runs Symbian OS. It has internal memory storage of 32 GB.

The Nokia X6 is priced at Rs 12,790. The phone will hit the market in September.

Nokia X5 comes with 2 GB of memory (expandable to 32 GB) and offers music and networking services.

The slider handset has slide-to-open panel with a QWERTY keyboard. The company has also added a dedicated music button on the phone.

Nokia X5 will cost 165 euros (Rs 9,370), exclusive of taxes and subsidy. Like the other two phones, X5 too will be available from September.

Nokia has also made an entry into the dual SIM handset segment with the launch of its C2 and C1 models.

Nokia C1 features a battery standby time of 6 weeks, and comes with standard flashlight, colour screen and FM Radio.
The users can change between SIMs using a single key.

This handset is proposed to be available by the third quarter of 2010 at a price, a little over Rs 2090.

Nokia C2, on the other hand, features two active SIMs at the same time. Slightly larger than C1.

The second SIM is `hot swappable', which means it can be inserted and removed at any time when the phone is turned on.

There's also a microSD slot that accepts up to 32GB memory cards.Both Nokia C1 and C2 also pack a VGA camera, 3G access, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Nokia C2 comes at a price tag of Rs 2500 approximately and is proposed to be available by the end of 2010.

Nokia also introduced two low cost-low memory phones in the price range of 35-39 euros (Rs 1,998-Rs 2,215).
