Best Sims 2 expansion packs?

Lesley: Which are the best sims 2 expansion packs?
I have already got sims free time and sims university but I am aloud to get another one off ebay but I am not sure which one to get. Please help me! LOL

Victor: It depends of the way you would like to play it(what things can be unlocked).I never had all of the expansions myself,but I did managed to get some of them.So,here are some features:
1)nightlife:-there is a downtown neighborhood which is full of restaurants,clubs and parks.All these can be visited by your sims,which can spend their night there.
-there are also cars
-there is a dating system(you can put two sims on a date,and make sure the date goes well)
-also,there are vampires
2)pets:-you can have your sims buy dogs and cats,adopt them or insert them during the family creation screen(you can add animals straight from the beginning to your family).
-you cannot control your pets as you do with sims,but you can teach them to do certain things.
-besides dogs and cats,there are also parrots and fishes.You can teach a parrot how to talk.
3)seasons:
-there is winter,summer,autumn and spring,and the nature is changing.There is snow at winter,while in autumn,you must rack leaves from trees.
-you can design a neighborhood with altered seasons.For instance:in one hood there can only be two seasons.
4)Bon Voyage:
-there are three travel destination:Twikki Island,Takemizu Village and Three Lakes,each of them designed for sims to do certain things.Twikki Island has beaches and ancient ruins,Takemizu Village is Japanese-like with temples and ninjas,while Three Lakes is ideal for camping,as the climate ressembles that of a northern country.
-your sims have to book for one of these destinations and they must go to the airport afterwards.When they arrive,there is a screen which shows how much days do they have to spend there.It”s basically about exploring new things,travelling and meeting new people.
-you can buy properties(homes)in these destinations as you choose
-also,you can design a travel destination of your own based on these three types.If you have seasons expansion,you can alter them in order to look more realistic.For instance,in a sky destination,you can make winter all the time,or summer and spring if you make a beach destination.
I also had Appartment Life,but honestly,there you can buy appartments,have roommates and what I liked the most:helicopters!!!
These are all the expansions I had,but I heard of others:Free Time,University etc.which I cannot give you details.I suggest you look on youtube as there are reviews and walkthroughs which can explain much better what this is all about.They give many details which will surely help you choose the expansion you like the most.

I think I will go with seasons thank you so much for the detailed answer it was really helpful. At the end it was between -Pets, -Seasons or -Business. Now I have got to find a good price on ebay - thats tricky LOL

Natasha: I love the sims 2 nightlife expansion pack,seasons is great too. If anything,you should check up on all the expansion packs,you don't have to get all of them,but see which one suits your 'favorite' list.

Piril: You should get nightlife that's the best. You get clubs and cars. Or business. You get to open your own cafe and stuff.
