what is the difference between updating and upgrading a PSP? thanks.?

Well updating just means that the software will get updated, like it will download a new feature or a patch to fix a glitch or something.
Upgrading means getting a new psp. Like with a brighter screen or bulit in mic.

If you upgrade your psp then you get a new one (a newer model)
if you update your psp then you're just changing something on the PSP like a newer firmwar
